Action/Adventure   Like the 2 previous Spyro games someone steals certain "items" from the dragons, and Spyro has to go out and retrieve them, along with tons of Gems. Like Spyro 2 (Ripto's Rage) you'll have to pay Money Bags to access certain areas and Unlock Critters. However unlike the two previous games you can play as extra characters on certain levels of their own, there are 4 other critters that you can play as, and as a bonus you can even play as Sparx in each world, and if you suceed in his levels you get extra abilities. It's also got some nice comedy in the story.

  The game is compatable with the Dual Shock controller, you can use the Sticks, and the vibration, although for me I prefer the D-Pad.

  The music and sound effects in the game are great, they go perfect for each level and theme, what I liked best was that you don't have to read everything, most of the time the characters will talk (sound, not text) so you won't have to strain your eyes.

  The Graphics are not what I'd call top notch, but none the less they aren't that bad either, they go nicely with the game's theme. The only bad graphic would be that Spryo's eyebrows seem to be floating on his head.

Reccomend :
The Spyro series reminded me a lot of the Gex series, check out Gex 2, or Gex 3.
